They are as good as they look.
I saw these quite some time ago on Bake or Break and then again on Nosh and Tell and I knew I had to make them. If you have been following my blog, you know I love anything chocolate and peanut butter and so does my boyfriend Zack. He and I went to visit his parents for the 4th of July and I always like to bring some kind of baked good with me when we visit. I always bring Buckeyes at Christmas and they go crazy for them. Actually, I made some last Christmas and believe it or not I forgot to take pictures and blog about them! Don't worry, I will not forget this Christmas. Anyway, I knew Zack's family would love these. When these brownies were on Bake or Break and Nosh and Tell they made the brownie batter from scratch. I took the easy way out and used Ghiradelli Double Chocolate Brownie Mix. I personally think it is the best box mix you can get and can easily beat some "from scratch" recipes. This recipe also was written to make 12 servings using a muffin tin. I went ahead and made them in a mini-muffin tin and it made 40 brownies! When you decide to make these (and you will decide to make these) do what works for you.
Makes 40 brownies as adapted
1 box of your favorite brownie mix
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

I might have to make these... they look amazing!
Holy yum!! These sound absolutely amazing. I need to bake some treats for a few friends and I think this going to be the winning recipe.
1/2 a teaspoon of PB or 1/2 tablespoon? The picture looks more like 1/2 tablespoon-1 tablespoon. These look TO DIE for! I love chocolate & Peanut butter! Thanks for the recipe!
oh hell yeah!!!! DROOL!
Wow those look good! I would love one right now!
I love chocolate and peanut butter things too, and I am honestly drooling over these little brownies right now!
Those look seriously yummy! I doubt I'd be able to stop eating them. I love buckeyes, and I'll be looking for your post this Christmas.
I really think it was about half a teaspoon, but it varied depending on the size of the dent in the brownie. I just added enough peanut butter to fill in the dent.
This looks SO GOOD. I am bookmarking this for my next leisure baking!! YUM!
These look picture perfect. I want one right now!
Those look amazing! Yum! I love anything with chocolate and peanut butter as well!
Those look amazing. I'll definitely be making these in the future!
Risa, these look soo good! I'm saving this recipe. My boys at work love when I make stuff...and if it's a dessert, my hubs will love it too.
Oh my! These are sinfully good looking!!
Risa, these look so delicious! I love anything peanut butter and chocolate...but especially anything that calls for peanut butter! And there is nothing wrong with a good box mix!! :o)
I saw these on bake or break also. i made them for mother's day, and they were awesome!
I made these sometime last year, too, they are de-lish! Love the melty pb on yours.
oh. my. god.
Yup. Might actually make these TONIGHT. PB and chocolate are THE BEST.
Just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for all your amazing recipes!! I stumbled upon your blog a few months ago, and have since baked pretty much all your chocolate and peanut butter treats as well as many of the others as well. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your blog, and it is nice to always know a recipe will turn out well (unlike so many recipes I find online)!
P.S. I used to be an auditor in my former life and I am amazed you have the energy to do so much baking and blogging, good for you!!
I've seen those and thought they look pretty good(yours looks good, too!). Just wasn't sure how balanced they are between the two flavors.

I am seriously drooling right now! What a great idea!
I have to reveal another brownie box secret - if you think the double chocolate ghiradelli is fabulous, try the TRIPLE chocolate. I have only seen it at Costco and it is the most amazing box mix! Your PB brownies look delicious. You may have also tried this but you can put a PB cub in the middle as soon as they come out of the oven... yum!
Anonymous here again - just realized I wrote that you could include a PB cub in the baked brownie... of course I meant to say PB cup!
These look so delicious! I trust you that they tasted as good as they looked!
Your brownies looks way better than they on verybestbaking.com :)
I have to try these myself but there's no place in Sweden (I've even been to) that sells peanut butter chips (not chocolate chips either -.- but I just cut chocolate in smaller pieces) mabye I can use peanut butter instead...
Amazing blog btw! :'>
Oh my! I have to try these, they look decadent!
Too much! That little center of peanut butter filling is killing me! Only wish they were here in person instead of on my computer screen.
OMG, can't wait to make these!
Hi Risa.....i've come to love your cupcakes...its so beautiful. I've actually nominated you a 'kreativ award'. Please check it out at my blog. Thanks...;)
i lovee peanut butter cups and i love brownies...i know what i'll be craving for the next few weeks!
these look a-mazing! i love a pb and chocolate bite of goodness...yum!
Wow, I SO wish I had a few of these in my hands right now!
Made these this weekend, so yummy. Lots of compliments, people love them. These are the BEST. Thanks!
I juuuust made these, and let me tell you (or agree with Risa), they are deadly! SO GOOD! I used the home-made brownie recipe from Bake or Break, and it made exactly enough dough (+ a few spoonfuls of raw dough for me) for 24 mini brownie bites! I baked them for only 11 minutes, and it was perfect! I had to push the middles in, but it worked excellent, and it seemed at first like 3/4 cup of pb was way too much, but it ended up being the exact amount I needed to fill the brownies! Thanks Risa :)
I totally have to make these. They look delish!
Oh my goodness, these look SO good! I'm definitely going to have to try making them sometime soon!
I am allergic to chocolate so every chance I get to make a dessert to bring somewhere, it is chocolate related. This way I am not tempted to eat it. My kids can't wait to try these.
Oh Gosh! Those are absolutely gorgeous! I am so happy I found your blog - it's amazing - I already love it :)
I just made these but I used ghiardelli (sp) ultimate fudge boxed mix. At the end I added a tiny dollop of the fudge that's included over my chocolate chips/peanutbutter chips. :P My boyfriend is already going nuts after just 1.
My friend Meredith recently told me about your amazing blog and I immediately had to try some of these delicious recipies. This is the first I've tried and talk about amazingly delicious! Here's some pics of mine: http://soimintexasnow.blogspot.com/2010/03/peanut-butter-cup-brownies.html
Thank you for your great recipes!
I made these over the weekend and they are already gone. So SO SO good we topped them with mini reeses peices delish thanks
I make something really similar to these but use the large muffin tin and instead of choc. and peanut butter chips I just add a mini reeses p.b. cup about halfway through baking.....they are delicious and everyone always begs for them!
Yes please! Your brownie bites look amazing. I can see how dangerous these would be. They're small enough to pop in your mouth without thinking how many you already ate, haha. I'll definitely be trying this!
If you're too lazy to bake you can find delicious brownies made with Valrhona chocolate at www.ruths-brownies.com
They bake both cake style and extra fudgy and they are handcrafted to order and shipped to you (or someone you want to send a gift to) straight from the oven.
buttercups cupcakes
If you're using mini marshmallows, try the colored marshmallows. They add that little bit of color to your s'mores. You can also sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the marshmallows.

I might have licked my computer screen....maybe.
I MUST have these. . . and soon!!!
I just made these. And they were delicious!
Bogie and Bacall. Gable and Lombard. Chocolate and Peanut Butter. A match made in heaven!
Made these for a family get together tonight, and they were a HUGE hit. There were three other desserts there, and these were the first to go! :0) Will be making AGAIN! Thanks!
stopped buying Reese's Cups because they contain palm oil (linked to rainforest deforestation) and have been craving peanut butter and chocolate combos ever since. Thank you so much for this recipe!!
OMG! They look amazing and I ll try to make these yummy brownies this Weekend, Thanks!!! :-)
O M G! Just made these, they are delish, thanks for the recipe :)
Hmm, calorie count for these anybody? I want to make them for Thanksgiving but I don't want to binge too much.
I saved this as soon as I saw them. Made some for my hubby's potluck tomorrow. I kept a few for home and they are spectacular. May even make some for Thanksgiving.
i just made these and they're DELISH! the ghirardeli double chocolate is divine. i must admit, i was lazy and used peanut butter cups, but i guess it's the same idea, right?
I can't wait to make these! Yum! Thanks! :)
I'm out the door to go get ingredients. My kids are gonna LOVE these!
Looks deeelish, can't wait to try this, Christmas in a couple weeks, and I think it would be the perfect time to start. Thank you for sharing. :)
I agree with Anonymous'-- the triple chocolate Ghiradelli mix is even better than the double chocolate version! If you've never tried it, you must!!
Made these today and they are soooo delicious. We couldn't find peanut butter chips so I used butterscoth instead and it's delicious with the brownie, PB, and choc. chips! Thanks for the recipe- so easy and sooo yummy!!!
I made these tonight for a White Elephant party tomorrow night. The tops didn't sink, and "tapping" them with a spoon ended up with my gouging out the middles instead. Not sure why that is, but I'm sure they'll be amazingly delicious anyway. : )
I made these for a cookie fundraiser and they were AMAZING! Thanks so much for sharing! I also featured this recipe on my blog, if you wanted to check it out. Thanks! http://jackatessa.wordpress.com/2011/12/15/peanut-butter-brownie-bites/
Made these tonight. So delicious!! Also for a dozen of them instead of leaving them just as brownies I melted some cream cheese and swirled into each mini brownie before baking. The in each one placed chocolate chips on top as they were cooling. So good. :)
Delicious.
just made & let them cool overnight. look sooooo yummy! any tips on how to get them out of the pan? they are really sticking......
I just made these for a New Year's Eve party. They are so stinkin cute!! Easy, I used the mini baking cupcake liners. I sprayed those w/ Pam before filling them. I used my fingers to make the cup in the middle to hold the peanut butter. thanks for the amazing recipe!
wow! these are way good! very rich! perfect stress food! lol...im tempted to try it with Nutella!
Can't wait to make these! They look delicious! I've made them with a Hershey's Kiss on top but I know I'm going to like these even more.
Just made these, they were sooooooo good! Next time I think i'll try them with caramel filling
Thanks for the great recipe!
Just made them and didn't have the peanut butter chips but it didn't matter, they were delicious. My son in law that is deployed will really enjoy them. Thanks for the recipe.
